Dáibhí Ó Cróinín Collection

Handwritten music manuscripts, music tablature manuscripts and an imperfect printed fiddle tutor. Some of the music tablature is written in the hand of Pádraig O'Keeffe and other music notation is written either by Dáibhí Ó Cróinín's father or uncle. The Caoimhín Mac Aoidh Collection

This collection includes: photocopies of original Pádraig O'Keeffe manuscripts; transcriptions made by Caoimhín Mac Aoidh of 700 Pádraig O'Keeffe tunes, along with contextual notes and texts on the tunes; and correspondence relating to MacAoidh's research into Pádraig O'Keeffe. The photocopied manuscript collections are as follows:

Oliver Moran Song Manuscripts

The three songbooks for the most part contain a variety of Irish popular songs in the English language. Songbook A also contains some poetry and extracts from Shakespearean plays. There are two handwritings in the manuscripts. The smaller, more pointed, less round, is that of Oliver Moran. The other may be that of Peter O'Hare whose name is in one of the manuscripts, but nothing is known of him. There is some other biographical information in the manuscripts.

ITMA Field and Studio Recordings

The ITMA Field and Studio Recordings fonds comprises audio and video recordings taken by ITMA staff since the founding of the archive in 1987. ITMA actively seeks to record traditional music and dance in the field in order to be able to trace how it has developed across the country. Recordings include annual music festivals and conferences, one-off events, concerts and sessions, and interviews and studio recordings taken onsite at ITMA's premises on Merrion Square. It is expected that this is collection will expand continually over the coming years.

Collection comprises sound recordings, manuscript transcriptions of songs and interviews, images, and broadsheets, collected by Aidan O'Hara in areas of Irish settlement on the south shore of Newfoundland in the 1970s. This collection is unique to ITMA, some portions are duplicated in other archives and special collections in Ireland and North America.

Charlie Mulvihill Collection

This collection of sound recordings is a unique taste of post-war Irish traditional music in New York, with leading players including Andy McGann, Paddy Reynolds and Larry Redican, concertina music from Charlie Mulvihill and family sessions with Charlie and his son Tommy (fiddle) and daughter Geraldine (piano).

The Nellie Walsh Collection
