Note
Notes:
This tape contains dubbings from cylinder recordings and from commercial LPs. The LPs are:
1) MATT MOLLOY, PAUL BRADY, TOMMY PEOPLES (LUN 017; Mulligan]
2) TAKING FLIGHT (Bobby Casey; LUN 018; Mulligan]
Only the material from cylinders has been digitised; the material from commercial LPs is available elsewhere at ITMA, either on commercial CD reissue or as the original commercial recording.
Loaned for copying by Pat Mitchell in March 2001 - tape returned to Pat Mitchell via Jimmy O'Brien Moran with cassette copies.
[? The reel-to-reel tape was still at ITMA in September 2004]
Digitised from the reel-to-reel tape and catalogued by Jackie Small, completed September 2004.
Imported from Reeldubs July 2013
Dubbed to DAT March 2001
Dubbing from cylinder recording, as are all the tracks from this tape; all the items are from the 'Cork cylinders' – these are cylinders held in University College Cork, from the collection of Richard Henebry; this tape is a copy from another (reel-to-reel?) recording; better-quality dubbing of these cylinder recordings available elsewhere?
Documentation:
Spoken information on tape ; Carton: 'Cork 29/4/78' [written on spine in faded pencil] ; Spool: 'Cork / Cylinders'
