First minute book of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCÉ) Co. Sligo Executive Committee and the Ballymote CCÉ Branch. Inserted into the book are receipts, newspaper clippings, event flyers and correspondence relating to events and meetings organised by the Ballymote CCÉ branch.
The Cathal McConnell Collection comprises 700+ cassette tape recordings and dates from the 1960s up to the early 2010s. The non-commercial audio material was recorded both in Ireland and abroad in a range of settings including field recordings in houses, informal sessions, concerts, outtake studio recordings, music classes and workshops. Also featured are both domestic recordings of radio programmes including 'The Long Note', 'Airneáin' and 'The Irish Phonograph' among others, along with cassette recordings of various commercial LP, cassette tape and CD releases.
Collection comprises reel-to-reel tape recordings made by Robin Morton chiefly across Ulster in the 1960s and 1970s. The recordings feature traditional music performances (songs, tunes and dances) by a wide variety of musicians and singers.
Collection comprises audio and video recordings on reel-to-reel tape, vinyl, VHS and Betacam SP. The video tapes are all relating to the opening of the Chief O'Neill Hotel in Smithfield in 1999 and the exhibition space within the hotel dedicated to its namesake, the musician and collector, Francis O'Neill who was also the Chief of Police for the city of Chicago. The non-commercial recordings feature a lecture on pipe music by Breandán Breathnach and radio dubs Breathnach being interview by Paddy Glackin.
