Scope and content

Collection comprises reel-to-reel tapes featuring off-air dubs of RTÉ radio programmes, dubs of commerical material, edited dubs of material recorded by John Brennan in the US, and other domestic and field recordings of traditional Irish musicians.

Appraisal, destruction and scheduling

Some of the tapes contain poor-quality dubs of material that ITMA has already in better quality, and of material that is available on commercial recordings; this material has not been digitised.
