Handwritten music manuscripts, music tablature manuscripts and an imperfect printed fiddle tutor. Some of the music tablature is written in the hand of Pádraig O'Keeffe and other music notation is written either by Dáibhí Ó Cróinín's father or uncle. This collection is made up of material which was collated for the microsite From the bridge: a view of Irish traditional music in New York which was launched in ITMA 29 June 2022. The microsite was built on various resources, generously donated by people in New York and other places. All metadata for the material is available on the website (www.itma.ie/newyork).
Collection of reel-to-reel tapes featuring recordings of sessions and céilí bands, and domestic recordings of commercial material. Includes performances at the 'Fleadh Nua' in 1973 and 1975.
Collection comprises audio and video recordings on reel-to-reel tape, vinyl, VHS and Betacam SP. The video tapes are all relating to the opening of the Chief O'Neill Hotel in Smithfield in 1999 and the exhibition space within the hotel dedicated to its namesake, the musician and collector, Francis O'Neill who was also the Chief of Police for the city of Chicago. The non-commercial recordings feature a lecture on pipe music by Breandán Breathnach and radio dubs Breathnach being interview by Paddy Glackin.
