Collection comprises live recordings on compact disc of traditional music performances in Sydney, Australia as part of the Guinness Tour in 1987. Performers include Christy Moore, Liam O'Flynn and Arty McGlynn.
Collection comprises audio and video recordings on reel-to-reel tape, vinyl, VHS and Betacam SP. The video tapes are all relating to the opening of the Chief O'Neill Hotel in Smithfield in 1999 and the exhibition space within the hotel dedicated to its namesake, the musician and collector, Francis O'Neill who was also the Chief of Police for the city of Chicago. The non-commercial recordings feature a lecture on pipe music by Breandán Breathnach and radio dubs Breathnach being interview by Paddy Glackin.

The ITMA Field and Studio Recordings fonds comprises audio and video recordings taken by ITMA staff since the founding of the archive in 1987. ITMA actively seeks to record traditional music and dance in the field in order to be able to trace how it has developed across the country. Recordings include annual music festivals and conferences, one-off events, concerts and sessions, and interviews and studio recordings taken onsite at ITMA's premises on Merrion Square. It is expected that this is collection will expand continually over the coming years.

Other materials include images of singers and events, IIFSBS brochures, and manuscript indices prepared by Jimmy McBride.
