This tape contains a high-quality copy of programme material featuring Denis Murphy, fiddle, from the RTE sound archive. The copy was probably provided (or facilitated) by Radio Eireann for use in Breandan Breathnach's index of Irish traditional dance music. The original tape is a dubbings of recordings made on acetate discs in 1948.
