Sheets would be three pence or four pence each; how they know what air to sing the song to; He showed me a song called 'The Bonnie Wee Lass o' the Glen', written out for him 30 or 40 years earlier by a man from Balleighan, Malin, his name, John White Paddy, a Doherty or a McLaughlin man. Sings a verse and says, "That's a good song and nobody in Inishowen hardly knows it either." He got it from hearing it sung by others. On line the song is called Dark Iniseoghain: and , also, etc.; I asked him for The Star of Inishowen but he didn't know the air of it. He said he worked as a carpenter all his life and was in the Irish Army during the Emergency.
